In a tunnel of light, she found her brow furrowing
Recollections of past met with reality of present
The dazzling wellsprings of Titania’s many eyes aglow
Tears rolling down her face like a branching stream
Recollections of a past not her own
Reality of a present she would soon lose
Legendary tales, crushing realizations
A weapon reborn, an incorporeal killer of light
Unearthed from a planet long forgotten
Dark lie the corners of the universe
Darker still will the universe soon be
Stars abound in the heavens above
Stars aplenty are drained of their essence
Titania’s future uncertain
Fate itself unknown
But lo! The winds of hope doth caress her cheek
Winds carry stories, stories turned to myth
Nothing is without equal, god is truly dead
No god nor man presides above the rest
Nor presides the fruit of nature’s womb
Hark, ancient ballads eek from the vacuums of space
Ballads and sonnets alike borne on grey matter wings
Alift in a world brought down, gravity defied
Memories burned bright in the eyes of the mind
Not of Titania’s, yet all still familiar
A singular word, a lone name
Solgrun
Solgrun the dazzling, Solgrun the bright
Solgrun the savior, Solgrun the light
Memory turned to ash, images as relics
Titania, grasping, struggling to hold on
The relics must not go
The memory must persist
Hope, oh so fleeting, yet oh so steadfast
Solgrun must be found
Ripples of time and space erupt
Titania is on the move
No compass points the way
Nor map with trails to follow
The wellsprings of Titania’s eyes glint in the passing stars
She sees not with her sight, but through the relics
Relics of memories long gone
Memories of a world long forgotten
Weapons of untold power and mythical names
Names like Solgrun
Solgrun the dazzling, Solgrun the bright
Solgrun the savior, Solgrun the light
She had arrived
Titania lowered a foot, then another, and finally the last
Feet met soil, soil met feet
Neither had felt the other for so very long
Reunions cannot last, relics seek to wither away
Relics wither, as do memories not held on to
Titania held with all her might
Away she rushed, to where she knew not
The wellsprings of her eyes no long aglow
Suns in the sky no longer alight
Time, time running shorter and shorter
Footfalls falling faster and faster
Throne room reached, castles of yore exposed
Dilapidated walls, earth bound parapets galore
Passages hidden away, known only to few
Known only now to Titania
Rushing, running from the shadow
Rushing, running toward the light
An end in sight, an archway aglow
Hope abounding, bounding toward hope
Titania burst into the room
Light burst forth into Titania
The wellsprings of her eyes aglow once more
A blade long forgotten
In a castle long ago abandoned
Under passage long worn away
Solgrun
Solgrun the dazzling, Solgrun the bright
Solgrun the savior, Solgrun the light
A blade with no form, now straight, now curved
Light danced atop a hilt barely visible
The sword’s guard there one moment, gone the next
Double edged, now single, tri blade, dagger
Solgrun cared not for form, only for function
Solgrun functioned for one purpose, one goal
Solgrun would restore the light
Weapon in hand, Titania rushed
Rushing, running toward the shadow
Rushing, running with the light
Through the castle she strode,
Light bleaching long darkened walls
The wellsprings of her eyes burned bright,
Suns danced in the heavens, aglow once more
Space and time rippled
Stars flitted past
Solgrun danced
Solgrun the dazzling, Solgrun the bright
Solgrun the savior, Solgrun the light
Solgrun, our hope
